Revival Animal
Health Receives Highest State Honor – Pro Patria Award
Orange
City, IA –
Revival Animal Health has been recognized for its support of the Iowa National
Guard. The pet health company has been awarded two honors; the Above and Beyond
Award and the Pro Patria Award, which is the highest level award that may be
bestowed by the Iowa Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) State
Committee. The awards were presented at the annual ESGR Awards Dinner in
Johnston, IA on March 7th, 2020.
Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds was in attendance as three Iowa employers were recognized for going above and beyond by making it easier for employees to participate in the National Guard and Reserve. Revival Animal Health was one of only three employers in the state of Iowa to be recognized with the Pro Patria Award.
Revival Animal Health was nominated for the award by CPL Brittany Sudtelgte, Military Police, unit 186 MP Co. Sudtelgte works in the Revival Animal Health marketing department. During her deployment, Revival employees Jody Albers, Dan Coulander and Hailey Loutsch formed Team Brit and encouraged the entire Revival Animal Health staff to donate food, basic necessities, and fun items. These items were then sent to Sudtelgte as part of monthly care packages.
“Our family first culture here at Revival went to another level with how the team stepped up to help one of our own. What the team, especially Jody, Hailey, and Dan, did to assist Brittany during her deployment was pretty amazing. I’m very proud of the entire Revival team,” says Jim Rossiter, Vice President/General Manager, Revival Animal Health.
“This award goes beyond just what the
Revival team did for me while I was deployed. It shows who they are as people
and how much they truly support one another, far past the 9-5 workday. For 314
days I was mobilized and for 314 days and beyond, they had my back,” says
Sudtelgte.
To be eligible to receive the Pro Patria Award, employers must have received the Above and Beyond Award. That award is given to employers who have had at least one of their supervisors/managers recognized with a Patriot Award, and who have signed an ESGR Statement of Support. In 2019, Revival Animal Health leadership signed the ESGR Statement of Support. In addition, Albers, Coulander, and Loutsch were recognized with the ESGR Service Member Patriot Award.
