The 5Strands® Pet Intolerance Test is an at-home pet intolerance test for cats and dogs. This tests for intolerance in more than 200 pet food ingredients and preservatives as well as more than 100 environmental items. The pain free sampling allows for testing through analysis of the animals hair and fur. Results in 7 to 10 days.

Itching, biting, or skin, breathing or digestive issues can all be symptoms of a food or environmental intolerance. This test helps pet owners understand the symptoms their animal may experience due to food or environmental intolerances and sensitivities and make necessary changes to address the animal's issues.

Tests only for non-IgE medicated reactions or intolerances. Non-IgE reactions may have a delayed onset with symptoms appearing several hours or days after ingestion or exposure.

Cautions: Keep out of reach of children and animals.IgE (Immunoglobulin E) allergies, which are caused by the body's immune system, are NOT tested for by the 5Strands® Pet Intolerance Test. IgE reactions occur within minutes of ingestion or exposure and are diagnosed through a blood test or skin prick test by veterinarians.

Follow the instructions included with the kit to register it and set up your account.
Gather 10 to 15 strands of your pet's hair or fur. Use the included prepaid mailer to send the sample and you can expect to receive your pet's test results within 7 to 10 days after the hair sample arrives at the processing center.
