Rhinomune® is an Equine Rhinopneumonitis Vaccine that has been shown to be effective against respiratory disease due to equine herpesvirus type 1 (EHV-1). The duration of immunity has not been determined. Modified live virus.
This horse rhino vaccine is effective for the vaccination of healthy horses three months of age or older, including pregnant mares after the second month of pregnancy.
Dosage and Administration: Healthy horses 3 months of age or older should receive 2 doses administered 3 to 4 weeks apart. Foals should be vaccinated when maternal antibodies have declined, generally at 3 months of age. If vaccinated earlier, foals should receive the 2-dose series after reaching 3 months of age. Pregnant mares should be vaccinated after the second month of pregnancy. Revaccination: Revaccination every 3 months with a single dose is recommended.
Contains preservative: Gentamicin.
