Botusemen Standard is an equine semen extender for safe sperm transport. This horse semen extender enables the safe transport of spermatozoa until the time of insemination or during the centrifugation process for freezing protocols. Suitable for most stallions. For fresh or cooled equine semen for horse breeding.

The BotuSemen Extender is based on skimmed milk to transport cooled semen or preservation at 5° C or 15° C, as well as for centrifugation pre-freezing. Use dilutions of 30 to 50 million/ml for cooled transport. In case samples requiring centrifugation before cooled transport resuspend the sperm also between 30 to 50 million/ml.

Cautions: Keep out of reach of children and animals. Color: White/Blue Storage: After mixing the contents of the sachet with sterile water, store it at 2 to 8°C (35.6 to 46.4°F) for up to 3 days.

How to Prepare Botusemen Standard: Add the sachet’s content to the sterile water and shake well.

How to use Botusemen Standard: For cooled transport, semen should be refrigerated at 5 °C (41 °F). The minimum dilution rate for preserving sperm motility during storage is 2 parts extender to 1 part semen, aiming for a ?nal sperm concentration of 30 to 50 million total sperm per mL.

Important: For arti?cial insemination with fresh semen or centrifugation for freezing protocols, dilute 1 part extender to 1 part semen (1:1; V:V). After semen dilution, wait 15 minutes to proceed with arti?cial insemination.

Botusemen Standard Composition:
UHT sterilized skim milk powder, sugars, amino acids, antioxidants, and excipients.

100 mg gentamicin and 100 mg penicillin per 100 ml.
