Instructions: Before you swab your dog, activate your account online.

  • To swab your dog, remove the collection tube from its packaging.
  • Swab the insides of your dog's cheeks for 30-60 seconds to collect the saliva.
  • Unscrew the cap, insert the swab into the stabilizing fluid, replace the cap, and shake the tube for 10 seconds.
  • Place the tube in the return envelope and mail it.
  • Most test results are provided in 2 to 4 weeks.
  • The prepaid return shipping labels provided only work in the U.S. International customers are responsible for the cost of returning their swabs to Embark.
