VETERA^® Gold^XP is a 7-way vaccine for horses. This equine vaccine protects against eastern and western encephalomyelitis (EEE & WEE), West Nile Virus (WNV) (including a unique North American Equine E159™ WNV strain), Tetanus, Respiratory disease due to equine herpes virus types 1 and 4 (EHV-1 & EHV-4), and Equine influenza virus (EIV). VETERA^® Gold^XP has also been shown to be effective against viral shedding due to A2 EIV and against viremia, mortality, and neurological clinical disease due to WNV.

This horse vaccine provides 7-way protection in one vaccine. The Carbimmune^® adjuvant system allows a dual-phase antigen presentation to deliver both rapid and long-lasting immunity. Ultrafil^® purification technology eliminates undesirable cellular components and extraneous protein to minimize the potential injection site reactions (such as heat, swelling, and inflammation). This equine vaccine provides at least 6-month duration of immunity against EIV (OH/03) and at least 12-month WNV duration of immunity.

VETERA^® Gold^XP has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy horses four months of age or older, including pregnant mares.

Instructions: Shake well before use. Using aseptic technique, inoculate horses intramuscularly (IM) with a 1 mL dose. Administer a second 1mL dose intramuscularly in 3-4 weeks using a different injection site. The need for annual booster vaccination has not been established for this product. Consultation with a veterinarian for revaccination frequency should be considered.
