UlcerGard® paste actively prevents equine stomach ulcers and the pain and discomfort that often accompanies them. UlcerGard® for horses is ideal to give to during times of increased stress or exercise. UlcerGard® horse is the first and only proven non-prescription preventative for Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome. No other product is FDA-approved to prevent stomach ulcers in horses. Each tube of UlcerGard® equine contains four preventative doses for horses weighing between 600 and 1,200 pounds. UlcerGard® is a once-daily, easy to administer oral paste that contains omeprazole paste for horses. Use UlcerGard® paste for horses during training, racing, showing, traveling, stall confinement, and competition. Safety in pregnant mares has not been determined. This ulcer medication for horses is not for use in humans.

Instructions: Give a daily dose of UlcerGard at 1 mg/kg (1/4 tube for an average 1000-pound horse) on the back of the horse's tongue or deep in the cheek pouch. If any of the dose is lost or rejected, re-dosing is recommended. For horses 600 to 1200 lb, give one dose (1/4 tube) per day.
